The PEP-L mailing list is a forum for post-adoptive parents who have school-aged children from Eastern Europe and wish to discuss the issues involved in parenting post-institutionalized children. Before subscription is activated, we ask prospective subscribers to fill and return, via email, a survey letting us know a little about you.
We discuss topics such as the joys of parenting; cultural differences; adapting a child to a new family and to a new culture; dealing with medical, physical and mental health issues; effective and compassionate ways to discipline; attachment and bonding; and parenting issues in general.
Topics discussed on this list may be sensitive and personal. The confidentiality of the list is highly important and is strictly enforced.
